Memorial Weekend!

Quite a runaround weekend for us - needed to check on family, decorate graves, and attend a wedding, but all was accomplished. However, we were tired by Sunday! We checked on Guy & Bernie Friday night, their health has declined but they are home again and we have a lady taking care of them all day, what a blessing!

We did a few things around the farm Saturday and visited before we had to leave for Oklahoma.

I will say it is amazing what a little rain will do. It was nice to see an actual wheat crop and green grass as well as ponds that are full!
The farm is all mowed and trimmed out since Kristi is once again working at the farm.
I love taking pictures when it is nice outside and you don't have to fight the wind!
All that is missing here is a barbeque and a family get together! Maybe soon...
Bruce and I visiting his Mom and paying our respects. The cemetery was so pretty!
Aunt Jean and Uncle Kenneth - a beautiful couple! They are truly missed!
Uncle Ken - He left us way too soon!
And over at Sedan - Bruce's Aunt Louise - only 32 years old - so sad....

Bruce and I picked these roses on the roadside for Aunt Louise - they were so pretty!

and of course I had to have a shot of the yellow brick road in Sedan. How cool!
I didn't get any pictures of Blake and Miranda at their wedding - but they are very happy and enjoying their honeymoon in the Grand Cayman Islands.

Minnesota Bound.....

Getting to Minnesota on our departure date of Thursday didn't work out so well because of snow and bad weather both here in Kansas and in Minnesota. We thought May would be safe for travel, but oh well! Anyways, we did make it on friday and had a short visit but we managed to pack a lot in  despite the cool yucky weather. The kids were really excited as we flew in. We could see them jumping around by the terminal as we were landing.... So funny!
First night after all the girls had their bath! Everyone was all smiles!
And the sunset that night was glorious!
Of course we went up for Kaylee's dance recital and this is the crew as we were waiting for it to start!
And the star of the show was Miss Kaylee! She did absolutely awesome and was so excited to get a flower! As soon as she got home she found a vase to put it in!
Such a sweet girl - loved seeing her perform...
Kassidy and Papa are often snuggling but they are always busy...
As we were leaving for church down the street, snapped a quick picture of the cuties.
Does Kolsen like baseball?  NOOOOOO, he LOVES BASEBALL! and this year he gets to try and see if he can pitch.  Fun times for sure. Both our boys had many great memories from baseball and such a great learning experience. Sports teaches so many great life skills.
Practicing for tryouts next week. Daddy pitching and papa is fielding
while the girls were busy on the playset and playing at the tennis courts! Talk about imaginations -- it is remarkable the things they come up with - they do not need one toy to come up with such clever games!

Like I said - our time was short but we did have lots of fun - we got to watch the Kentucky Derby on Saturday too.... Sure was fun cheering for our favorite horse.
